Are you a student who loves to write? There are two awards available, one for students located in the Midwest, the other is a state-wide award.
2019 Randolph Stow Young Writers Awards:
This year celebrates the 30th anniversary of the awards. The awards are organised by the Geraldton Regional Library and was introduced to encourage the creative talents of students in the art of poetry and prose.
The competition is open to students from Yrs 3 - 12 studying in the Midwest. Entries close on Friday 5th July. Details on eligibility and entry can be found at
Tim Winton Award for Young Writers:
This award is celebrating 27 years, and provides a platform for young authors to present their creative writing. Entries are judged on their creativity, originality of themes, story development and quality of writing. The award is organised by the City of Subiaco.
